Cookie policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on instapatch.co.uk and how you can control them. We only use what the site needs to work.
What we use
- Signing in. When you sign in with a link we email you, a cookie keeps you signed in as you move around the site, so you can see your orders. It holds your sign-in session with Supabase, which runs our customer accounts. You only get it if you sign in, and it is removed when you sign out, or after 400 days without a visit.
- Your basket. It is kept in your browser's local storage on your device, not in a cookie. Nothing in it reaches us until you pay, and it is emptied once your order is placed.
- Payment fraud checks. Stripe, which handles our payments, sets cookies to help detect and prevent fraud. Its payment script only loads on the basket page, which has the express checkout buttons, and on the checkout page, so you will not get these cookies unless you go to one of those pages.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our visitor statistics do not use cookies and do not identify you.
Consent
These cookies and this storage are strictly necessary for the site to work and to give you what you ask for, such as staying signed in or paying, so they do not need your consent and we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever want to use cookies that are not essential, we will ask for your consent first.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies, and clear what a site keeps in local storage, through your browser's settings. If you block cookies, signing in and checkout may not work properly, and clearing this site's data empties your basket.
